We are not only interested in providing a service but creating an experience that keeps our clients engaged and wanting more.
Interns embarking on a 100-hour journey in our salon will commence their experience by delving into fundamental concepts, actively supporting our stylists in various day-to-day services. This hands-on approach ensures a comprehensive understanding of salon operations and fosters skill development. It is imperative that interns fulfill their 100 hours within a 90-day timeframe from their start date, promoting a focused and immersive learning experience. Throughout this period, interns will undergo weekly evaluations to track their progress and receive constructive feedback. Additionally, weekly assessments will be administered to gauge their grasp of essential salon practices, enhancing their proficiency as they contribute to the vibrant atmosphere of our salon.
Cosmetology Apprentice shall engage in full-/time employment, with a minimum of 20 hours per week for a period of 24 months to be eligible to take the State Board of Cosmetologist Licensing Examination. Participants will receive cosmetology training, a series. of checkpoint assessment including theorem and practical, and the possible opportunity to join the salon team upon completion. Applicants for the Cosmetologist Examination must be at least 16 years of age, have a 9th grade education or equivalent.
Hair Stylist
Our stylist will consult with prospective clients, analyze the current condition of their hair develop a styling/care plan based on their preferences, lifestyle, and state of the scalp and hair. As an SW Hair Stylist, you will not only focus on styling but more importantly hair care. Stylist promote salon products during service to encourage purchase for at-home usage. Stylists are required to consult with clients at every appointment to follow up with progress as well as providing necessary treatments to improve the hair’s condition (if needed). Our stylist will use their knowledge of hair trends and customer knowledge to recommend different styles suitable for each client's lifestyle. Stylist will also be responsible for keeping their station organized, sanitized, and fully stocked to properly service each client. Stylist will need to promote their artistry to gain new clientele. Our appointment system and related tools will be used to schedule and track appointments, as well as cultivating an engaging customer base.
Makeup Artist
As a makeup artist at SW Hair Studio display passion for makeup artistry and beauty services. Our makeup artist will be responsible for consulting with their clients and using their knowledge to create custom looks that meet their individual needs. During this consultation, the artist will determine which color pallet and style will be the most effective in creating the desired look. In order to accomplish this, our artist must be attentive to detail, have a diverse cosmetic kit to service all skin tones and possess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Not only will you work as a team to maintain the salon but also with each client to create the desired look. Our artist must constantly acquire knowledge of the latest makeup trends and promote the purchase of Strands Lash Extensions. We all know the best looks start with great skin. Our artist should be able to inform their clients of different skincare products and routines to improve or maintain their skin’s condition. Our artist will also be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of their station and tools after servicing each client as outlined in the salons' policies and procedures. All contractors are required to use the salon booking system to schedule and track future appointments and cultivate an engaging customer base.
Artistry/Salon Assistant
Our artistry assistants are essential to the flow of the salon. Assistants will provide exceptional customer service to clients/guests. The experience of our clients and their comfort are top priority. Tasks may included but are not limited to: offering beverages and refreshments, assist with braiding, styling preparation, color preparation, treatment application, shampooing, conditioning and blowdrying hair. Assistants will also be responsible for answering the phone, scheduling appointments, processing payments, and maintaining the cleanliness of the salon.
